Yes, we do not use tile, but instead we install wetwalls, aslso known as cladding walls. Basically wetwalls are sheets of waterproof material that are made to look like tiling. You have a range of choice, but the huge benefit is that all the look-alike tiles are perfectly aligned. They are manufactured to allow for minimum maintenance- no need to regrout and minimum bleaching is required.
The reason we are able to offer such a low price is that the fitting of the wetwalls are much faster than tiling a bathroom.
We specialise in wetwall bathrooms and are able to get the best deals for you with wetwalls.
We can sometimes offer tiled bathrooms, but the price will increase significantly. it will depend if our supplier can provide the tiles that you like.
It will also depend on the availability of the fitters. As you can appreciate, each installation is scheduled with an estimated intall time for each bathroom.
Getting tiles means the plasterer and the tiler need to coodinate and wait for the plaster to settle in.
the other inconvenient is that in the event of a leak behind a wall, it is a fairly simple procedure to open the wetwall, repair the leak and replace the wetwall. When using tiles, we need to bebreak the tile, the wall, then repair the leak. The plasterer and tiler are required to come back, having to wait for the plaster and tiles to settle in.
The modern wetwalls are manufactured to the highest possible standard, therefore it is increasingly difficult to differentiate between a wetwall bathroom and a tiled bathroom.
